Katie Mueller

Senior Program Manager, National Safety Council

Katie Mueller leads the Our Driving Concern programs at NSC. She is a fatality crash survivor and has been a traffic safety advocate for over 25 years. Katie joined the National Safety Council in 2021, to work on in the impairment practice area. She specializes in developing and implementing evidence-based countermeasure programs for transportation. Prior to NSC, Katie served as the Assistant Director of the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, a Division of the Department of Public Safety. She serves on the Coalition for Cannabinoid Science and Safety, on the National Transportation Research Safety Board’s committee on impaired driving, serves TRB as a panelist for teen driving countermeasures, and is also a certified child passenger safety instructor.

DeAnn Crane

Program Manager, National Safety Council

DeAnn manages the Our Driving Concern program educational events, employer recognition, grant performance objectives & reporting, and partner outreach as well as, the collaboration of content development. She previously worked for more than 15 years in human resources, focusing on organization and employee development. DeAnn earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University.

April Ramos

Program Manager, National Safety Council

April focuses her work on training, exhibits and public outreach. Prior to joining the Our Driving Concern team, she spent 20 years at the Texas Department of State Health Services working in the Safe Riders Program. Earlier, she launched her career at the Austin/Travis County Health Department. She taught bicycle and pedestrian safety to children and provided car seat safety education to parents and caregivers. April is a graduate of Texas State University and native Texan.

Tracy LeMaire

Program Manager, National Safety Council

Tracy engages employers with program-driven communications to expand their transportation safety awareness. She has 20 years of extensive experience in traffic safety and a passion that is evident in all that she does. With certifications in Child Passenger Safety, she volunteers as the Acadiana Regional Coordinator for the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force. Tracy holds double bachelor’s degrees in general studies and criminal justice as well as several hours of graduate work, focusing on injustices against women and minorities.

Mandee Miley

Program Coordinator, National Safety Council

Mandee provides project coordination and grant administration for Our Driving Concern, overseeing grant programs from application through final reporting. She prepares financial reports, tracks expenses and manages compliance. She also supports webinars and training events, while overseeing program materials and inventory. Mandee earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and previously worked in the nonprofit and government sectors.

Lexi Bushhorn

Program Coordinator, National Safety Council

Lexi provides support, program coordination and materials management for Our Driving Concern and assists with drug impairment training for employers through multiple state-funded grants. Lexi earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Services Management from Indiana University. She served in the nonprofit and government sectors for more than five years before joining the National Safety Council.

Ron Kremer

Content Producer, National Safety Council

Ron creates content for Our Driving Concern website pages, newsletters, and social media accounts. He also tracks analytics and generates monthly reports that are shared internally and externally with grant funders and stakeholders. Prior to joining NSC in 2015, Ron worked as a reporter, columnist and copy editor for both print and online news media organizations.
