Katie Mueller

Senior Program Manager Roadway/Mobility, National Safety Council

Katie has specialized in developing and implementing evidence-based countermeasure programs to bolster transportation safety for more than 20 years. She joined the National Safety Council in 2021 and initially worked in the Impairment Practice Area as the subject matter expert for cannabis. Prior to NSC, Katie worked as assistant director in the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, a division of the Department of Public Safety. She holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications.

DeAnn Crane

Program Manager Roadway/Mobility, National Safety Council

DeAnn leads the awards program for Our Driving Concern, an employer trafffic safety program. She also heads up educational events and outreach initiatives, and collaborates with the NSC team on the development of content. She engages employers with program-driven communications to expand their transportation safety awareness. She previously worked for more than 15 years in human resources, focusing on organization and employee development. DeAnn earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University.

April Ramos

Program Manager Roadway/Mobility, National Safety Council

April focuses her work on training, exhibits and public outreach. Prior to joining the Our Driving Concern team, she spent 20 years at the Texas Department of State Health Services working in the Safe Riders Program. Earlier, she launched her career at the Austin/Travis County Health Department. She taught bicycle and pedestrian safety to children and provided car seat safety education to parents and caregivers. April is a graduate of Texas State University and native Texan.

Tracy LeMaire

Program Manager Mobility Safety, National Safety Council

Tracy engages employers with program-driven communications to expand their transportation safety awareness. She has 20 years of extensive experience in traffic safety and a passion that is evident in all that she does. With certifications in Child Passenger Safety, she volunteers as the Acadiana Regional Coordinator for the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force. Tracy holds double bachelor’s degrees in general studies and criminal justice as well as several hours of graduate work, focusing on injustices against women and minorities.

Akua Opoku

Program Coordinator Roadway/Mobility, National Safety Council

Akua provides support, program coordination and materials management for Our Driving Concern, an employer traffic safety program, and assists with drug impairment training for employers through multiple state-funded grants. Prior to joining NSC, she served in the nonprofit and government sectors for more than five years.

Mandee Miley

Program Coordinator Mobility Safety, National Safety Council

Mandee provides support, program coordination and materials management for Our Driving Concern and assists with drug impairment training for employers through multiple state-funded grants. Mandee earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University, and she previously served in the nonprofit and government sectors.
